The front and rear frames are fully welded from S690QL high-strength steel, providing exceptional structural rigidity, durability and long service life.
The tractor consists of two independent frames connected by vertical articulation pins and an axial bearing. The articulation system allows 45° frame articulation and 15° oscillation, enabling the machine to follow uneven terrain while maintaining stability and traction.
Two hydraulic cylinders provide frame locking, allowing the articulation to be securely locked when required.

The EQUUS hydraulic arms are developed and manufactured in-house for the most demanding forestry conditions. Their robust construction is designed for reliable timber handling and dragging, while the focus on durability, easy maintenance and service ensures long-term performance.
Featuring a double telescope and 9.5 m reach, the hydraulic arm offers excellent working range and flexibility. Lifting torque is available in 120 kNm or 140 kNm configurations, while the optional floating position allows the arm to follow the terrain when dragging timber.
The standard configuration includes a rotator, link and Gripen 035 grapple, as well as a trunk support and LED work light for illuminating the grapple. Various grapple types and an optional double-brake link are available on request, together with additional LED lights mounted on both sides of the arm.
Every hydraulic arm function can be individually configured — including movement speed, start and stop behaviour and joystick sensitivity — allowing the system to be precisely adapted to the operator's preferences and working conditions.

The folding rear shield is manufactured from high-strength material and designed for demanding forestry operations. Its upper edge can be equipped with choker attachment points or a curved, toothed surface for secure timber support.
The rear shield features heavy-duty spherical rope pulleys. An optional configuration includes an independently lifting shield that raises the pulleys up to 2 m, improving cable routing and winching performance.
When raised, the lower edge of the shield maintains excellent ground clearance and a generous approach angle, allowing the tractor to reverse safely and efficiently on steep slopes.
Standard shield width: 2,200 mm

The EQUUS hydraulic clambunk is an in-house designed attachment for the rear shield. Hydraulically operated jaws securely hold timber during chokerless skidding, serving as an integrated load carrier.
The clambunk features an automatic jaw pressure function as standard, continuously maintaining a firm grip on the timber during skidding.
Available with a 0.8 m² or 1.2 m² loading area, in either a fixed or quick-release configuration for fast attachment and removal.
-
The EQUUS hydro-mechanical transmission combines a high-displacement single hydraulic motor with 45° swash-plate technology, delivering high efficiency and economical operation during demanding forestry work.
The hydrostatic drive provides strong dynamic braking, reducing the need to use the service brakes during operation.
The system is complemented by a NAF two-speed mechanical transfer gearbox with selectable rear-axle disengagement, allowing 4×4 / 4×2 operation and efficient road transport.
The EQUUS hydrostatic transmission delivers demonstrably higher efficiency at speeds up to 18 km/h compared with competing two-motor hydrostatic systems.
-
The front and rear axles are fixed NAF planetary axles, engineered for demanding forestry applications.
Both axles feature 100% mechanical differential locks, with separate locking of the front and rear differentials for maximum traction in challenging terrain.
Proven by extensive field experience, NAF axles are recognised for their exceptional durability, reliability and performance in this power class.

The EQUUS in-house manufactured safety cabin is designed to provide maximum operator protection. Unlike conventional solutions, EQUUS cabins are tested in the T1a category, requiring up to 75% more demanding ROPS, FOPS and OPS testing conditions.
The sound-insulated, forward-tilting cabin provides easy access to service components from both sides of the tractor. Tinted safety glass with 20% solar reflection reduces glare and improves operator comfort.
An ergonomic layout, excellent all-round visibility, low entry height and doors on both sides ensure comfortable and efficient operation without compromising the tractor's ground clearance.
Standard equipment includes Webasto heating and air conditioning, interior lighting, Bluetooth hands-free radio and a mechanically suspended seat. An air-suspended seat with heating, ventilation and adjustable lumbar support is available as an option.
The 315° electrically rotating operator station, with braking in every position and integrated accelerator and brake pedals, provides excellent visibility and precise control in all working positions.

Hydraulic cable pay-out uses hydraulic motors to drive rollers that smoothly feed the cable from the drums, making the handling of heavy steel cable significantly easier.
The optional HAFO auxiliary winch uses a lightweight nylon rope to pull the main steel cable towards the timber. The nylon rope can have a total length of up to 350 m.
Additional functions include soft-start winding, controlled winding run-out and adjustable winding and unwinding speed.
A cable pressure roller can also be integrated into the winch drum. It guides the cable into regular layers during winding, helping to reduce cable wear and extend its service life.
